Home » Boys' Basketball NewsCougars Protect Home Turf With Convincing WinJanuary 29, 2010 New Faith Christian AcademyEast Point, GA - NBCA was unable to match the length and athleticism of Cameron's varsity boys squad. Despite being well coached and playing hard, NBCA found themselves in a hole that only got bigger as the Cougars forced turnovers, scored in transition, and dominated in the halfcourt set. Marquise Scott led the Cougars with 18 points, while Kenneth Ellison added 15 points and did his usual job of grabbing boards, roaming the paint, and dunking with authority whenever the opportunity presented itself. The Cougars played well as a team. Kwame Hood chipped in 10 points in addition to 13 provided by DeAndre Brooken. While Richard "Gimme Dat" Sanders had 14 points, his most notable impact was in the area where his nickname comes from: blocks. Sanders goes up to get and block anything left up there for the taking - he did just that on Thursday night as the Cougars prevailed by a score of 85-29.
