Varsity Boys Top Praise Academy in Monday's Nightcap

East Point, GA - To end the night of Cameron Academy vs. Praise Academy, the Mighty Cougars' varsity boys team took the floor looking to make Cameron 2-1 for the night. The blueprint to Cougar success all night was defense that translated into offense. The varsity boys followed suit. They started the game off with defensive pressure that didn't allow Praise to get into any kind of groove early on. While the turnovers were one item, it was the Cougars' ability to convert that pushed the lead further throughout the game.

Cameron Academy attacked the offensive end both inside and out. The post and wing play of Kenneth Edwards was big, and his 24 points helped lead a solid team effort that included 15 points from Kwame Hood, 12 points from DeAndre Brookin, and 11 points from Dominic Grissom. The Mighty Cougars rolled to a 77-55 win.
