“The varsity course was short by 250 to 400 meters,” said Midway head coach Doug Carder. “But, this time of year it’s not so much about times as it is about placing.”
Coach Carder continued, “The Drexel girls ran really well at Sherwood. Coach (Adrianne) Lane is doing a great job with the team. Our team is quality, and the Kingsville and Drexel girls’ teams are both quality. We’ll have our hands full and then some at districts.”
“Our guys raced the way they needed to at Sherwood to position ourselves for a push at district time,” added Coach Carder. “We did it the right way.”
The cross country Vikings and Lady Vikings will race at the West Platte Invitational on Saturday, October 15. The meet is contested on the 5000 meter course at Platte Ridge Park.
