LADY RAMS NO MATCH FOR LADY VIKES

Midway's JV & varsity volleyball squads hosted Hogan Prep on October 21. The Volleyball Senior/Parents Nite was sweet for the Lady Vikings, as Midway dominated play in both matches.

The Lady Vikings defeated Hogan Prep 25-5 and 25-10 in the varsity match.

Shannon Carver had 9 kills. Teresa Zielinski had 6 kills and 2 blocks. Bree Renner had 3 kills, and Katie Chouinard had 1 kill.

Katie Chouinard had 14 assists, and she made 2 digs. Haley Hastie had 1 assist and 3 digs. Shannon Carver had 1 assist and 3 digs. Shelby Garrigus made 1 dig.

Shannon Carver served 9 aces. Bree Renner, Janae Semsch, and Katie Chouinard each served 2 aces. Haley Hastie had 1 service ace.

Midway defeated the JV Lady Rams 25-8 and 25-7.

Hannah Mills served 16 aces. Breann Barnes served 4 aces. Jennifer Gorsage served 2 aces. Cathleen DeRemer and Tesa Renner each served 1 ace.

Tesa Renner had 7 assists. Alyson Chapman had 2 assists and 1 dig. Jennifer Gorsage had 1 dig.

Jennifer Gorsage had 6 kills and 1 block. Hannah Mills had 1 kill and 1 block. Tesa Renner and Breann Barnes each had 2 kills.

Midway wraps up the regular season on the road at Pembroke Hill on Thursday, October 23.

The MSHSAA Class 1 District 14 Tournament will be held at Cass Midway October 27 and October 29.

Ballard and Heartland open the district tournament on October 27 with a 4:30 PM match. Drexel faces Miami at 5:30 PM. Midway will face the winner of the Ballard/Heartland match at 6:30 PM. Archie will face the Drexel/Miami winner at 7:30PM. (Times are approximate following the opening match.)

The district championship match is set for 6:30 PM on Wednesday, October 29.
