Midway's JH "B" Vikings and JH "B" Lady Vikings played round two of the Butler 8th Grade Tournament on Wednesday, December 2. The "B" Lady Vikes fell behind JH "A" Lady Bears 20-0 at the end of the first quarter. Butler led Midway 24-0 at the half. The score was JH "A" Lady Bears 31 and JH "B" Lady Vikings 4 at the end of the third quarter. The final score was Butler 41 and Midway 8. Mariah Keeney scored 4 points for the JH "B" Lady Vikings. Tesa Mills and Caroline Hupp each scored 2 points. Butler led Midway 22-4 at the end of the first quarter of the boys' game. The halftime score was JH "A" Bears 29 and JH "B" Vikings 9. Butler led Midway 35-15 at the end of the third quarter. The final score was JH "A" Bears 39 and JH "B" Vikings 20. Nathan Fischer, Chris Chandler, and Josh Farris each scored 4 points for the JH "B" Vikings. Jackson Eberle scored 3 points. Alex Schnorf and Clay Dahman netted 2 points apiece. Conor Hayes scored 1 point. Midway's "B" Lady Vikings will face El Dorado Springs in a girls' game at 7:00 PM followed by a boys' game vs. El Dorado Springs at 8:15 PM on Thursday, December 3. These games will be played at the Butler High School. The JH "A" & "B" teams will host Osceola on Monday, December 7.
