Vikings Redeem Themselves Against Blackhawks

On January 4 the Vikings faced the Adrian Blackhawks for the second time this season. The Vikings lost the first game of the season against the Blackhawks, but came back strong on the 4th with a 50 to 35 win.

Leading in scoring for the Vikings were Mason Irvin and Peyton Semsch who each had 8 points. Tyler Wright, Sean DeFeo, and Clay Dahman each had 7 points, Christian Cromer had 6 points, Nate Fischer had 5 points, and Chris Bynum had 2 points.

Leading in rebounds were Tyler Wright and Clay Dahman with 6. Chris Bynum and Sean DeFeo had 5 rebounds, Peyton Semsch had 4 rebounds, and Mason Irvin and Christian Cromer each had 3.

Tyler Wright had 3 assists and 1 steal, Mason Irvin had 1 block and 1 steal, Peyton Semsch had 3 assists, Chris Bynum had 3 assists and 1 steal, Christian Cromer had 1 assist and 3 blocks, Nate Fischer had 1 assist, Paden Forrester had 1 assist, Sean DeFeo had 1 assist and 1 block, and Clay Dahman had 2 steals.

Vikings post Mason Irvin said, “The whole team played really well, we just need to continue to play smart and under control.” The Vikings will travel to play the Barstow Knights January 11. Coach Burchett said, “They will get up in our face and pressure us, we just need to be strong and handle the pressure.”
