Midway Season Ends With Loss to Skyline

On Monday, November 5, the Vikings traveled to Urbana to face the Skyline Tigers for the district championship. The Vikings lost 14-41, ending their season and crushing their dream of a district title.

Peyton Semsch was the Vikings’ leading rusher with 81 yards on 17 carries. Following Semsch was Bobby Zielinski with 69 yards on 3 carries and 1 touchdown, Clay Dahman with 15 yards on 5 carries, Luke Boyer with 5 yards on 4 carries and 1 touchdown, and Tanner Yahnig with 4 yards on 1 carry.

Peyton Semsch completed 3 out of 12 passes. 1 thrown to Jake Lambertz for a total of 29 yards and 2 thrown to Clay Dahman for a total of 2 yards.

Peyton Semsch kicked in 2 PAT’s.

Peyton Semsch kicked off 3 times for a total of 88 yards. The Vikings’ leading kickoff returner was Luke Boyer with a total of 67 yards on 4 returns. Bobby Zielinski had 3 yards on 1 return.

Peyton Semsch had 112 yards on 4 punts.

Luke Boyer had an interception resulting in a 20 yard touchdown.

The Vikings’ leading tackler was Peyton Semsch with 11 solo and 8 assisted tackles. Following Semsch was Zeb Love with 9 solo and 4 assisted tackles, and Tanner Yahing with 10 solo and 1 assisted tackle.
