Lady Vikings Secure WEMO Conference Title

The Cass Midway Lady Vikings finished up their conference play last Thursday,  October 12, with a game at home against the Rich Hill Tigers. The Vikings had a lot on the line with this game: a win meant first in conference and a loss meant a tie for first. The Vikings came out focused and took the Tigers in 2.

The Vikings had 3 servers who didn’t miss a serve. Cady Wright (11/11), Paige Kurzweil (7/7) with 1 ace, and Miranda Dahman (5/5) with 2 aces.

Serve receive for the Vikings was spread among  6 players . Raelynn Goddard led the team with 11, Megan O’Brien had 6, Paige Kurzweil had 3, and Cady Wright, Jessica Owens and Miranda Dahman all had 2.

Kathleen Yoakum, Jessica Owens, and Miranda Dahman each had 2 blocks.

The Vikings executed offense well with a team total of 21 kills. Kathleen Yoakum had 7, Miranda Dahman and Paige Kurzweil each had 4, Megan O’Brien had 3, Cady Wright and Jessica Owens each had 2.

Cady Wright led in assists with 12. Jodi Rhodes had 5, Kathleen Yoakum and Raelynn Goddard both had 2.

The Vikings had quite a few digs. Megan O’Brien had 6, Raelynn Goddard had 5, Miranda Dahman had 4, Kathleen Yoakum and Cady Wright had 3, and Jessica Owens had 2.
