CASS MIDWAY JUNIOR HIGH COMBO

The Cass Midway junior high track & field teams competed in the Cass Midway Combo Track & Field Meet on Thursday, April 5. Twelve different schools participated in the event.

Adrianwon the girls’ team title with 119 points. Rich Hill was second with 77 points. Cass Midway was third with 65 points.

Rich Hill claimed the boys’ division title with 96 points.Adrianwas second with 74 points, andWindsorwas third with 62 points. Cass Midway was fifth with 51 points.

Carolyn Yoakum won the girls’ 400 meter dash in a time of 1:08.40.

Luke Boyer was the boys’ pole vault champion clearing 8’ 0”.

Adia Eberle was second in the high jump by clearing 4’ 4”. Carolyn Bynum was second in the 200 meter dash in a time of 29.53 seconds.

The JH Lady Vikes’ 4x200 meter relay team of Maddie Anderson, Cassidy Myers, Aubrie Jones, and Carolyn Yoakum ran a second place time of 2:08.61.

Kobe Burchett was second in the discus with a toss of 91’ 5”. Maverick Greer was second in the pole vault clearing 7’ 6”.

Maggie Riggs was third in the discus with a 67’ 3” effort.

The JH Lady Vikes’ 4x400 meter relay team of Maddie Anderson, Aubrie Jones, Cassidy Myers, and Sydney Admire ran a third place time of 5:03.49.

Luke Boyer was third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.60.

The JH Vikings’ 4x400 meter relay team of Luke Boyer, Jarett Jurgeson, Joel Suarez, and Christian Kellison ran a third place time of 4:22.42.

Sydney Admire was fourth in the 1600 meter run in a time of 6:21.76.Sydneywas also fourth in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:51.45.

Carolyn Yoakum cleared 5’ 6” to place fourth in the pole vault. Mikayla Hawkins had a fourth place mark of 26’ 7 ¼” in the shot put.

Cole Nelson cleared 6’ 6” to place fourth in the pole vault. Kobe Burchett had a fourth place mark of 33’ 5 ¼” in the shot put.

Aubrie Jones was fifth in the pole vault clearing 5’ 0”.

Luke Boyer ran a fifth place time of 18.35 seconds in the 100 meter high hurdles. Shawn Purtle was fifth in the shot put with a mark of 32’ ½”.

The JH Vikings’ 4x200 meter relay team of Shawn Purtle, Jarett Jurgeson, Joel Suarez, and Zach Kraft ran a fifth place time of 1:56.73.

Maggie Riggs had a sixth place mark of 25’ 3 ¼” in the shot put.

Joel Suarez was sixth in the 400 meter dash in a time of 1:04.73. Christian Kellison ran a sixth place time of 2:39.56 in the 800 meter run.

Peyton Richardson had a sixth place mark of 14’ 3 ¼” in the long jump. Padraig Flanagan had a sixth place mark of 84’ 10” in the discus.

The next action for the Cass Midway junior high track and field athletes will be a home meet. The Twenty-First Annual Cass Midway Junior High Invitational is Wednesday, April 11.
