2011 Roster

The 2011 Midway Eagles Volleyball coaches are Cindy Cheatem and Assistants are Richie Cheatem Melissa Eddelmon. Returners from Last year are Senoir Kathryn Colston who transfered last season from a Junior College and has played 198 games so far. Also returning is juniors Anna Benjamin, Kelcie Meeks, Myka Clark, transfer Melissa Rankin, Heather Spatola and Sophmore Deidra Henry. Midways coaching staff has recruited four solid freshman for this years squad. Hitter Morgan Johnson, Defensive specialist Morgan Kalka, Hitter Brianna Rosan, and hitter Shelby Mattingly. The Eagles are looking to go far in this years NAIA Tournament.

The Eagles record is currently 6-19. The last game played was October 16, 2011 against Lindenwood-Belleview College. The eagles lost in four games with time (1-3). Game 1 was won by Lindewood 25-27. Game 2 won by midway 25-19. Then Lindenwood won the next two games (19-25), (15-25). The Eagles had a great hard game and was very close. Eagles setter Melissa Rankin had a total of 34 sets throughout the matches. 

The Eagles next matchup game is against Cincinatti christian on October 20, 2011 at 7pm. Last time Eagles played Cincinatti Christian they lost  in five games (2-3).  They came out strong winning the first two games and however came up short the last three games. Hopefully our eagles will seak revenge and win this weeks game against Cincinatti Christian Good Luck Eagles!!
