2012 Track!

The 2012 Track & Field season should be an exciting one for Midway as the Eagles seek to reclaim one of the top two spots in the conference.  There are lots of new faces and talent at several different event specialties.  The long distances will be handled by first-year Midway athletes Jazmin Turney and Brittany Belbeck. The Middle distances by fellow first year Brooke Stigers, and sophmore transfers Kristen Turney and Lauren Jones along with Nicole Lesniewski, the lone senior on the team.  The sprinting and jumping events will feature first year Midway athletes Lauryn Yevincy and Raven Mills-Mitchell will who hope to bring the explosiveness and quick reactions of the basketball court to the track (both are members of the Midway basketball team).  In the field, Latasha Jackson will bring a strong work ethic and an even stronger love of the weight room to the throwing events.  Also joining the Eagles for the 2012 campaign will be Freshman Xia Hoffman, Cayle Crown-Weber, and Juniors Melody Small and Elizabeth Spencer
