Home » Volleyball NewsDisqualified Head Coach, Who is Authorized to Replace Him/Her?August 1, 2012 By Pam Shively of Mid-Hoosier Officals AssociationThis question was discussed at our volleyball meetings during lesson one. If a head coach is disqualified from the match and there is no assistant coach, who may take over so the team may complete the match? Sandy Searcy from the IHSAA has the answer: The individual would be someone as designated by the principal or athletic director. It could actually be a parent, but the individual must be officially designated and recognized by the principal/athletic director. Good luck this season!
