Knights overcome 4 errors to defeat Gordon State in 11

Knights survive 4 errors to win in 11th vs. Gordon 8-7.

The Knights scored 4 runs in the 9th to tie game and win in the 11th.  With the game tied in the 11th Cody Lanford drew a walk for the Knights. Blake Shouse moved Lanford to second on a sac bunt and with 1 out, Lanford stole third. Pinch hitter Drew Taylor drew a walk and moved to second on a defensive indifference. With the infield pulled in, 1st baseman Trae Wilson chopped a ground ball that allowed Lanford to score from 3rd for the game winner. Justin Flores picked up his second win of the season in relief by pitching a clean 10th and 11th.

Kent Rollins, Shouse, Will Jones, Adam Eggnatz and Lanford each had a multiple hit game while Lanford scored 3 times and had 3 stolen bases. Eggnatz also had 2 RBI’s on the night.

The Knights are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Barnesville for a 5:00 game with Gordon.
