The Lady Warriors scored a big conference win against the Lady Cougars winning 83-45 to move to 11-6 in the conference and 15-7 overall and are 4th in the conference just one game behind the second place Cougars with three games remaining. Middle Georgia State was led by Shaketa Hodges with 27 points (20 in the first half), 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Shanedra Lockett added 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists while Jalyn Jones added 18 points. The Lady Warriors came out shooting hot and taking a lead of 10 early on and never allowing the Cougars to get close again in the game holding them 30 points below their season average.
MGSC plays Georgia Highlands on Saturday at 1pm in Cochran, GA in Morris Gym.
