BOBCATS HOLD OFF LATE WARRIOR RALLY

February 7, 2013
MIDDLE GEORGIA STATE COLLEGE

Swainsboro, GA

The Middle Georgia State College men found themselves down by as many as 16 in the first half against East Georgia State College on Wednesday Night 2/6.  At the half the Bobcats held a 39-28 lead. The Warriors kept fighting and managed to cut the lead to 2 points late before falling 57-53 to East Georgia. Head Coach Scott Moe was proud of the effort. “ We never gave up, that is the good part, but we can’t afford to get so far down. It takes a lot of energy out of you to catch up.”  The loss moves the Warriors to 15-6 on the season and 6-6 in the conference. Shane Heyward lead the Warriors with 19 points, while Cortez Riley added 14.

Warriors stay on the road when they travel to Albany to face Albany Technical College on Saturday 2/9 at 4:00pm. The game will be played on the campus of Albany State University
