Home » General NewsSpecial Surprise for MCHS Veterans By: Nikki RobersonDecember 7, 2009 Menifee County High SchoolIn celebration of Veterans' Day, MCHS presented a special surprise to a couple of their own veterans. On November 11 school nurse Regina Prewitt and Spanish teacher Randy Barrette were given patriotic wreaths on behalf of their service in the military. Prewitt said, "It was beautiful and I appreciated it very much." The wreaths were made by Tammy Williams and Jenny Ross. Mr. Barrette said, "I was very pleased to see the wreath when I entered my classroom on 11 November. At first I did not know why it was there. Later that morning Mrs. Warren explained that it was placed on my door to recognize that I am a Veteran. It is very well made, very patriotic, and very pleasant to look at. I am very honored to have the wreath on my door and I plan to leave it there longer to remind me not only that I am Veteran but also of the countless other Veterans."
