The Lady Wildcats got off to a slow start in the Clopton game, as they fell behind 9-1 by the end of the first quarter. After Clopton scored the first basket of the second quarter to lead 11-1, R-2 finally got things going on offense outscoring Clopton 8-0 over the next four minutes to close the gap to 11-9. However, Clopton outscored R-2 12-2 in the last 3½ minutes of the first half to lead 23-11 at halftime.
Defense was the name of the game in the second half as neither team was able to score many points. Clopton outscored the Lady Wildcats 7-6 in the third quarter to make the score 30-17. In the fourth quarter both teams scored 7 points each, which gave Clopton a 37-24 victory.

The teams played almost even in the second quarter as Fulton outscored R-2 12-11 to close the gap to 23-18 at halftime.
Neither team could get things going offensively in the third quarter as they each scored only 5 points, which made the score 28-23 heading into the fourth quarter. Both offenses got going again in the fourth quarter, but through the first 6 minutes of the quarter Fulton outscored R-2 12-7 to tie the game at 35-35. Fulton continued to outscore R-2 6-3 in the final two minutes and won the game 41-38.
