The Lady Wildcats came right back with 4 runs in the bottom of the fourth to increase their lead to 9-1. Corryn Hill started the inning with a walk, followed by a walk to Cayleigh Lively and a single by Payten LaBrier to load the bases. Hill scored on a ball hit by Lauer. Lively was thrown out at home plate on a ball hit by Reese, but the Lady Wildcats still had the bases loaded. Robinson then singled to score LaBrier for the second run of the inning. Lauer then scored when Klekamp was hit by a pitch, with the bases still loaded. Reese scored the fourth run of the inning on a sacrifice fly ball by Miles.
The Lady Wildcats scored 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take an 11-1 lead, and the game ended with the “10-run lead mercy rule” (after 4½ innings of play).
