Home » Baseball NewsTritons 10-run Tigers in eight inningsMay 3, 2011 Marshalltown Community College, Times-Republican FORT DODGE - The Iowa Central Community College baseball team pounded out 12 hits to go with 14 free passes allowed by the Marshalltown CC pitching staff to claim a 12-2 victory Thursday. The scheduled nine-inning game ended in eight due to the 10-run rule. The Tigers (22-17) were within 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth before the Tritons (27-18) tacked on three runs in the sixth, four in the seventh and two in the eighth. Damil Reyes and T.J. Flanagan both had a pair of hits for Marshalltown. Jordan McCoy homered, his second of the spring, and ran his hitting streak to 17 games. Starting pitcher Ian Hamilton allowed three runs in two innings to take the loss. Iowa Central's Jordan Rubbelke finished 4-for-4 with three runs scored, two doubles, a home run and four RBIs. The Tigers close out the conference schedule with a weekend series at Indian Hills Saturday and Sunday.
