JH Girls at East Jay Invitational 1/19/13

The girls beat Yorktown by ten to get into the championship game against Selma. They beat Selma in overtime their first meeting and this game proved to be just as exciting. MC pulled out the victory with seconds remaining to win the championship. Great job girls!!!!! Next game is Tuesday at West Jay.
The 8th grade girls played Yorktown and Selma at the East Jay Invitational this past Saturday. Yorktown won the first game 6 to 36 but the score doesn’t reflect how hard the girls played. They are a very good team!!! Our next game was against Selma who had beat us earlier in the season. The girls came out and played hard for 4 quarters, defensively and offensively. The final score was 11 to 27 but the score doesn’t indicate how well they played. Great effort this weekend by both teams!!!! West Jay on Tuesday.
