JH Boys Basketball vs Northeastern 1/15/13

The 7th grade boys raised their season record to 11-4 after an impressive 42-29 win over Northeastern.  The Bears only led by one at the half, but came out with a smothering full court press to extend the lead.  Lane Lewis, Tyler Writtenhouse played excellent defense on the Northeastern guards.  Bradye McCreery provided a spark in the middle of the 4th quarter.  Wyatt Snyder led the Bears in scoring with 16 pts.  Tucker Young added 11pts.  Noah McCollum had 8pts.  and Casey Conatser chipped in 6pts.  The Bears play the regular season finale @ home on Thursday vs. West Jay.

The 8th grade basketball team lost a hard fought game last night in The Den to the Northeastern Knights 38-32.  After leading a very good Northeastern team for most of the game, the Bears could not answer a late game rally made by the Knights.  The Bears were lead in scoring by Isaac Smithson with 9 points.  Next game for the Bears is Thursday vs. West Jay.
