JH Girls Basketball at Selma 1/09/13

The seventh grade girls pulled out a victory against Selma last night.  They were up by eight going into the half but got off to a slow start the third quarter. They were outscored the second half 16 to 8 which lead into overtime.  The girls turned it up a notch in the overtime period and scored six unanswered points to pick up the win.  Final score 27 to 21.  This win brings their record to 9 and 2.  Great job girls!!

The eighth grade wasn’t as fortunate last night.  The girls struggled offensively against a very good  Selma team .  They were down 2 to 15 at halftime and really couldn’t get the offense going in the second half either.  They did play well on the defensive end only holding Selma to 29 points for the game.  This brings their record to 6 and 6 for the season. Great effort girls!!!  Next game is tonight in Hall gym against Wes Del.
