Varsity Wrestling at Richmond Invite 1/5/13

By Mike Thornburg of Monroe Central Jr.- Sr. High SchoolThe Varsity Wrestling team went 5-2 at the Charlie Hilton Invite. They defeated East Central 45-33, Northeastern 57-11, Lincoln 63-18, Broad Ripple 59-12, and Hagerstown 42-33. They lost to Anderson 36-43 and Richmond 37-40. Alex Ordonez, Davey Tinsman, and Payton Hughes went 7-0. The wrestlers are currently 16-5. Also, Congratulations to Alex Ordonez for getting his 111th career win, beating the current school record of 110 wins. The wrestlers are back in action Saturday January 12th at Winchester Field House for County. Wrestling begins at 9am. Come support our wrestlers. Good Job Bears!
