JH Girls Basketball at Yorktown 12/3/12

By Mike Thornburg of Monroe Central Jr.- Sr. High SchoolThe junior high girls basketball team traveled to Yorktown last evening. The seventh grade played hard but came up a basket short in the end. Final score 23 to 25. The girls will get to play them again in our invitational this Saturday and hopefully with a different outcome. This brings their record to 2 and 2 for the season.
The eighth grade ran into a very good Yorktown team last night. The girls tried hard for four quarters but couldn’t keep up with the much quicker Yorktown team. Final score 15 to 42. This brings their record to 2 and 3 on the season. Next game is Wednesday against Muncie North.
