EDINBURGH, Ind. – Monroe Central led a 8-7 at halftime, but Edinburgh scored 12 unanswered to hand John Hochstetler a loss in his debut as the Golden Bears coach.
“We just didn’t answer the bell in the second half,” Hochstetler said.
Kaiser Phillips scored the lone Monroe Central touchdown on a 1-yard run. The Golden Bears then converted a fake extra-point attempt for two points.
Monroe Central (0-1) plays host to Anderson Prep Academy on Friday.
