Varsity Baseball vs Hagerstown 4/14/12

April 16, 2012
By Mike Thornburg of Monroe Central Jr.- Sr. High School

The Bears traveled to Hagerstown for a double header on Saturday. The Bears won the first game 10 to 4 with Devin Nott pitching a complete game. The Bears had 13 stolen bases they executed well in all areas of the game we put the ball in play and that is what it takes to win games. The Bears have been in every game this year a hit here or there we would be 7 and 1 instead of 3 and 5. The second game was rained out we were ahead 1 to 0 when the umpires called the game. Besides Nott pitching our first complete game Jake Combs went 3 for 4 at the plate, he also had 4 stolen bases and 2 RBI'S not a bad day. Come out Thursday night and watch your Bears play Cowan it's a conference game we would appreciate the support. Thanks Coach Don Duncan
