Jason Schneider- Offensive Coordinator

Coach Schneider graduated from Rockwood Summit High School in 1996 and he played football for McKendree University from 1996-2000.  This is his 11th year coaching football at Marquette and his 7th as the defensive coordinator.  He works with defensive backs as well as the receivers.  He lives in Fenton with his wife, Christine, and three children, Tessa (11), Owen (9) and Wyatt (6).  His kids are very active in athletics and he loves to watch them compete and have fun.  Coach Schneider teaches P.E. and Strength Training.

 

Scott Cleer-Defensive Coordinator

 Coach Cleer attended Mehlville High School. He graduated from the University of Missouri, St. Louis with a degree in Social Studies and History. He received his Masters degree in Secondary Education form Southwest Baptist College. He has been at Marquette since 1992 where he teaches AP Government and runs the Cadet Teacher program. He was the Defensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach from 1992-2001. He has been freshmen head coach since 2007. He is also the Girls Basketball Coach. He has two step-children, Chandra & Shannon, and two step-grandchildren, Austin and Kendall.

 

 Dan McMullen-Varsity Assistant Coach

This is Dan's 1st year with Marquette and 5th year coaching high school football.  Dan grew up in Los Angeles California and graduated from John F. Kennedy High school. In high school, Dan was a Blue Chip All American Quarterback. After high school, Dan attended Los Angeles Pierce Junior College where he became the schools all time leading passer and 4 time state player of the week as well as player of the year. Dan then attended St. Ambrose University in Davenport Iowa where he would be named first team all conference after his first year as quarterback.  Upon graduation, Dan played for the Quad City Steamwheelers in the Arena Football League.  After only three years he suffered a career ending injury.  Upon moving to St. Louis, Dan attended Lindenwood University and received his Masters degree in Education.

Dan has been married for 9 years to his wife Julie and they have 4 beautiful children. His oldest is Shane (8), Cody (7) {Cody is also playing in his first tackle football season for the O'Fallon Renegades as the teams quarterback}, and his youngest are18 month old twin daughters, Gianna and Genevieve.

Wally Sparks-Varsity Assistant Coach

“Wally” started his coaching in 1986 as the offensive line coach for Mt. Zion High School in Illinois.  He has a total of 14 years of experience both at the high school and junior football levels.  During his 9 years as the O-line coach,  Mt. Zion was 73-21 and produced 22 all conference linemen.  Coach Sparks is a 1983 graduate of Illinois State University, and was an offensive tackle for the “Redbirds”.  Wally, his wife Dana, and their son Cayden live in Chesterfield. 

 

Jason Kipp-Junior Varsity  Head Coach

I graduated from Missouri State University in 2010 with a degree in education. I am currently working at Marquette High School as support staff. I plan on teaching Social Studies or English. This is my first year coaching and I work with offensive lineman.

Tony LaRusso- Head Freshman Coach

Coach LaRusso graduated from Rockhurst University in May of 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Business. In May of 2011, Coach LaRusso received a Masters in Education from Southwest Baptist University. This is Coach LaRusso's 9th year coaching football at Marquette. Coach LaRusso teaches Physical Education, Personal Finance, and electives at Rockwood's Individualized Learning Center.

 

Eric Nesbit-Freshman Assistant Coach

Coach Nesbit is a resource teacher with Special School District assigned to Marquette High School. He graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education. In 1999, Eric earned his Masters degree in Secondary Education Administration from UMSL. He played college football at Missouri Valley College and coached high school football in Boonville, MO and Bowling Green, MO. Coach Nesbit has a wife, Beth, and four children, Erica, Geoffrey, Cassandra and Rachael.

Kyle Devine-Freshman Assistant Coach

Coach Devine graduated from The John Carroll School in Maryland and played football, basketball, and rugby. He then graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia in May, 2009, with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Biology. Upon graduation Coach Devine taught and coached at Oakville High School where he coached freshman football, JV basketball, and JV baseball for 4 years. This will be his first year at Marquette and will be coaching football and JV basketball. He will also be teaching 2yr and Honors Biology. Kyle, his wife Becky, and their daughter Ava reside in Ballwin.
