Josh Hammack Heart of a Mustang Award

Josh Hammack was a senior varsity football player in 2010.  This remarkable young athlete was a part of Marquette’s first conference championship.  Josh, like a lot of other players on that team, was extremely hard working.  He started for us at wide receiver.  Josh didn’t win any awards that year for receptions, yards, or touchdowns, but he was a great teammate. He was extremely unselfish and was the ultimate team player.  He played for the other guys on his team, and not for himself.  After the season, Josh had such an impact on our team and the coaching staff that we created the Josh Hammack Heart of the Mustang Award in his honor.  Each year, we give this award to the player that exhibits qualities similar to Josh.   This year’s award goes to Matt Bruer.  Congratulations Matt.
