Panthers Lose to Herscher

The Manteno Varsity Volleyball team lost against Herscher last night, 18-25, 23-25.  Alexis Gilbert led the team with 6 kills followed by Jessika Dziaba with 4 kills. Meghan Daly had 7 set assists and 9 digs, Courtney Posing had 6 set assists and 5 digs and Alix Miller also contributed 5 digs in the backcourt. The Panthers are now 16 and 10 on the year and 3-5 in the conference and will be in action again this Thursday at home against Wilmington for Senior Night. 

 

The Manteno Sophomore Volleyball team defeated the Herscher Tigers last night by scores of 25-21, 25-8.  Standouts for the match were Jaylan Dunn and Brooke Stulga with 3 kills each, Jocelyn LeSage with 7 digs and 5 set assists, Carly Trepanier with 4 set assists and 4 digs and Jasmine Davis with 5 service aces and 5 digs.  Emma Shores contributed 12 digs in the back court.  The Panthers are now 13-2 on the season and 8-0 in the I-8 conference.  The Sophomores will be in action again Thursday at home against Wilmington.

 

The Manteno Freshmen Volleyball team played a great match Tuesday night, beating Herscher in two games, 25-13, 25-15.  Emily Schierenbeck had 6 kills followed by Ashtyn Rees with 4 kills, 6 set assists and 5 service aces.  Sarah Marshall and Selena Schulteis contributed 8 digs each followed by Haylie Riner with 6 digs in the backcourt.  The team is now 17-1 on the season and 14-1 in the I-8 conference.  They will play again next Monday at Dwight
