Home » Volleyball NewsPanthers Lose to HerscherSeptember 13, 2011 By Cheryl Davis of Manteno High SchoolThe Manteno Varsity Volleyball team came up short against Herscher last night losing with scores of 14-25, 24-26. Jessica Marshall led the team with 5 kills and 5 digs followed by Jessika Dziaba with 4 kills and 6 digs. Meghan Daly had 7 set assists, Courtney Posing had 4 set assists and Karli Shields contributed 13 digs in the back court. The Panthers are now 13 and 3 on the year and 2 and 1 in the conference, and will be in action again on Thursday night at Wilmington.
The Manteno Sophomore Volleyball team defeated Herscher last night in a two game match by scores of 25-13, 28-26. Alyssa Snodsmith led the team with 6 kills followed by Jaylan Dunn with 4. Carly Trepanier had 7 set assists and Jocelyn LeSage had 5 assists and 3 service aces. In the back court, Emma Shores had 11 digs followed by Jasmine Davis with 6. Their sophomore season record is now 6-0 and 3-0 in the Conference. The Sophomores will be in action again on Thursday night at Wilmington.
