Panthers Take Down Peotone

With some strong blocking down the stretch, the Manteno Varsity Volleyball team defeated Peotone by scores of 25-19, 25-23. Amber Hopf led the team with 11 kills, 3 service aces and 3 blocks followed by Alexis Gilbert with 5 kills. Jocelyn LeSage had 8 set assists and 7 digs while Courtney Posing contributed 14 set assists and 4 digs. Karli Shields led with 8 digs in the back court followed by Alyssa Snodsmith with 7.  The Panthers season record is now 15-2 and 3-1 in the I-8 conference.  The team will be in action again Tuesday night at Wilmington. Thanks to all those who came out last night to support the Panthers.

 

The Manteno Sophomore Volleyball team also won last night in two games against Peotone by scores of 25-12, 25-19.  Haylie Riner had 5 kills, 2 service aces and 9 digs followed by Sarah Marshall with 4 kills, 3 service aces and 6 digs and Kori Johnson and Leegan Boudreau with 3 kills each. Ashtyn Rees had 10 set assists and 5 digs followed by Jackie Beck with 4.  Selena Schulteis had 11 digs in the back court followed by Madison Langlois with 4 digs for the night.  The Sophomore team is now 7-0 and 4-0 in the conference and will be in action this Saturday at the Seneca Tournament.
