Welcome to the Mankato East BPA! Business Professionals Association is an extra curricular activity club made up of students who compete regionally, statewide, and nationally in fun and educational events relating to Corporate America.
BPA has had a lot of success over the past few years with 25 students participating and over half of them qualifying for the state competition. We have also had 2 national qualifiers in the past 5 years. Common events include areas of Web Page Design, Video and media production, Small Business Management, Global Marketing, Computer skills, Accounting, and more.
This year we hope to get a quick start early in the school year to maximize preparation time for students. Look for an opening meeting in mid to late September.
Their are many events students can compete in and cover the areas of Financial Services, Information Technology, Administrative Support, and Management/Marketing/Human Resources. Each of these categories have at least 10 seperate events to compete in. Some of the events are done individually and others have students compete in teams of 2 to 4 students.
