Stocking leads Christian Academy boys past Atherton 62-59

Tyler Stocking scored 22 points to lead host Christian Academy over Atherton 62-59 in a boys’ basketball game Monday night.

Atherton (7-8) was up by a point with 1½ minutes left in the game, but CAL (7-8) scored two straight baskets to put the Centurions up by three.

Atherton attempted a last-second 3-point shot that rattled in and out.

Marcus West scored 27 points for Atherton.

Girls

&#; Campbellsville 45, Portland Christian 27: Brittany Vaught scored 18 points to lead visiting Campbellsville (6-11) past Portland Christian (3-12). Abbie Scroggy scored 16 points for Portland Christian.

&#; North Bullitt 76, Valley 65: Savannah Morrison scored 19 points to lead the visiting Eagles (11-5) past the Vikings (8-9). Catlin Montgomery added 18 points for North Bullitt. Aly Maguire collected 30 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Vikings.

&#; Holy Cross 66, Seneca 41: Sidney Morabito and Jill Epperson led the Cougars (12-3) with 10 points apiece as they rolled past the visiting Redhawks (8-10). Jada Grady and Sabrina Jackson led Seneca with 12 points apiece.
