Eagles Qualify for Regional Governor's Cup

This past weekend the Madison Southern Academic Team competed in the district Governor's Cup competition at Madison Central.  While the performance was not as good as in the past, several members qualified to compete at Regionals in Lincoln County.  Sophomore Rachel DeRoseet will compete in written assessments for both Language Arts and Arts & Humanities.  Junior Eric Jaggers will compete in the Social Studies written assessment.  Senior Kayla Newland took 1st place in the Arts & Humanities written assessment to secure her place in regionals.  Junior Emily Adkins will compete in composition at Regionals; she was the first MSHS Academic Team member to qualify for state competition in the school's history for the same event last year.
