Lady Eagles Get Big Win Over Model

The Madison Southern Lady Eagles got an impressive win over district rival Model on Friday night at home.  The game was close midway through the first half, but Southern found the range from three and pulled away for a 63-42 win.  Sophomore Samantha Parms scored 23 points to lead the Lady Eagles and freshmen Brianna Lanham added 17.

"I thought Model's press bothered us early," said head coach Summer Simmons.  "We didn't do a very good job of breaking the press early, but as the game went on, we made adjustments that led to us getting some good opportunities in transition."

The Lady Eagles are 3-1.
