Home » General NewsEagles Help With Sandy ReliefNovember 9, 2012 Madison Southern High SchoolThe students at Madison Southern have always been very involved with supporting the community. A lot of the sports teams raise money and support awareness for cancer, groups have helped with tornado cleanup in Central Kentucky, and ROTC and FFA have helped with holiday food and toy drives. Now the student body at Madison Southern is spreading their help to the Eastern United States. MSHS students are sponsoring a Hurricane Sandy Relief effort. They are looking for items such as bleach, blankets, heavy duty trashbags, rubbermaid-type totes, new undergarments, socks, and aparrel. Items can be brought to the front office at Madison Southern. A group of students will be traveling to New York City for a field trip next weekend, but before they make it to The Big Apple they plan on making a stop in New Jersey to drop off the donated items at a Red Cross facility that has been established for those effected by Hurricane Sandy.
