Home » Drama NewsMSHS Drama Students CompeteNovember 2, 2012 Madison Southern High SchoolSeveral Madison Southern drama students are out of classes today, but they're not skipping. These students are on the campus of the University of Kentucky to compete in the Community Theater Festival. This is the first time that MSHS has competed in this type of competition. "I'm really excited to see how they'll do," said drama teacher Rebecca Tomlin. The students from Southern will be performing "A Moment in Time" which was written by former Berea Community drama teacher Eddie Kennedy. For the competition, the students will receive 45 minutes to set the stage, perform the play, and break down. Students are responsible for every element of the production; the lighting, the acting, the props, everything comes down to the students. Good luck to the theater students as they will compete this afternoon at 2:30.
