Lady Eagles Have Strong Showing in Frankort

Thursday night the Madison Southern volleyball team traveled to Frankfort to face Western Hills. The freshmen team picked up their twelfth win of the season by defeating the Wolverines in three.  After losing the first game, the JV bounced back to win the final two games of the match to pick up a win as well.  The victory was the team's eighth of the season.  The varsity came up short, but played well against a solid Western Hills' team.  Game scores were 25-22, 25-15, and 25-22.

"I thought it was a solid night for us overall," said head coach Jeremy Grant.  "We didn't play very well against Central the other night and we bounced back to pick up a couple of wins and our varsity gave a strong effort.  Western Hills is a solid, experienced team and they just had a better night.  That's going to happen sometimes, but I honestly feel like we would've beat a lot of teams with the effort we had tonight."

The Lady Eagles have a busy week coming up.  Monday night they'll be at home for a district game against Berea and then will travel to Bourbon County and East Jessamine on Tuesday and Thursday.
