Home » Football NewsJohnson Signs with Lindsey WilsonFebruary 10, 2012 Madison Southern High SchoolFor the second time in a week, the Madison Southern Eagles held a signing ceremony in their auditorium. After Ethan Lake signed with The University of the Cumberlands last week, it was A.J. Johnson's turn on Thursday as he signed a letter of intent to play football for Lindsey Wilson. Johnson was an offensive lineman for the Eagles this past season and expects to play the same spot in college. Johnson's physical size and his performance in the classroom made recruiting a simple process for Johnson and Head Football Coach Jon Clark. "He's a big kid physically, but the fact that he wants to put education first makes him even more attractive to a college the caliber of Lindsey Wilson," Clark said during the ceremony. Johnson echoed his coach's comments. "I'm going for my education and playing football is a bonus."
