Home » General NewsMSHS Preparing To DanceFebruary 1, 2012 Madison Southern High SchoolReported by Brandon McCane & Dustin Collins Work has begun on the newest addition to the building at Madison Southern. One of the classrooms in the loop is currently being converted to a dance studio. The dance studio will have hardwood floors, mirrored walls, and anything else that could be needed for dance instruction or practice. Currently suitable spaces for the dance team, musical theater classes, and other groups are very limited, so the conversion of this classroom will be a great addition for these groups. Several dance team members said they were very excited to get a chance to have their own area to rehearse. Mrs. Kathie Bettler, drama teacher at MSHS, also said she was looking forward to the dance studio's completion because it will allow the drama students a chance to see how their actions will be seen by the audience. Plans call for the dance studio to be finished by the end of the school year.
