Home » Basketball NewsDistrict Rivalry Evened UpJanuary 22, 2013 Lake Worth Community High SchoolThe Lake Worth Boys' Basketball team fell to Atlantic High School this past weekend 69-61. That evened up their record against each other to 1-1 as Lake Worth took their first meeting in overtime. Atlantic was firing on all cylinders Friday and was too much for Lake Worth. Atlantic had no problem scoring, and it did not help that Lake Worth ultimately doomed them as they turned over the ball way too much. Atlantic seemed determined to avenge their loss they had earlier in the year to Lake Worth, as Lake Worth hit a buzzer beater to send it into overtime and took the win. Atlantic was not going to be denied a victory this time as Jamal Palmer had 20 points and forced a lot of the 20 plus turnovers that Lake Worth had. A big blow to the Trojans was leading scorer, Aaron Horne, was in foul trouble most of the night and did not play his usual minutes. Eno Pierre-Louis and Jerry Oliver picked up the slack as they had 16 and 15 points respectively. The Trojans play tonight vs. West Boca at home and look to get back in the W column.
