Victory!! Lake Worth dominates Spanish River

After a successful homecoming week put on all week at Lake Worth High School, the Trojans put an exclamation point on the week by securing a shutout victory against the Spanish River Sharks.
It did not take long for the Trojans to get on the scoreboard. After a quick 3 and out by the defense, the Trojans marched down the field on a quick 5 play drive capitalized by a 1 yard run by running back Bradley Cennelien. The Trojans defense put a stop to the Shark's offense all night and forced a lot of 3 and outs.
On the next drive the Trojans capped it off with a 15 yard jet sweep run by senior, Richard Seraphin. The stout Trojan defense got on the board as a team, as junior safety, Raekwon Bureau picked off a pass and took it back 80 yards to put the Trojans on top 21-0.
Malik Williams got into the act with a 12 yard touchdown run to extend the lead by 28. Quarterback Luis Peguero ended the first half with a 40 yard touchdown pass to senior Richard Seraphin to make it 35-0 at the half.
With a 35 point lead to start the second half it did not take long to finish the game as there was a running clock the entire second half and the Trojans got off the field quickly and taking their first victory of the season. The scoring was capped off with a Jermer Braswell 60 yard touchdown catch and run to put the final points on the board and make it 41-0.
The Trojans will have to travel to Royal Palm Beach this Friday in a must win district game.
Game Notes...James Jones led the team with 5 catches. Luis Peguero added onto his county lead in yards and added 2 touchdown passes. The defense continued their shutout streak to 6 quarters without giving up a touchdown. Jermer Braswell added another 100 yard receiving game and a touchdown and leads the county.
