Maher Hits For The Cycle

July 9, 2011
Loretto Baseball

Tyler Maher became the fourth player Friday night in the history of Loretto baseball to hit for the cycle in a 11-1 seven inning victory over Rockford (6-6).  This is the second game in a row Tyler had a chance to achieve this goal.  Wednesday night versus Maple Plain he needed a homerun to complete the cycle on his last at bat but was intentionally walked.  Tonight he needed a double and delivered.

Adam McGrane (4-1) was the pitcher of record pitching all seven innings.  Kent Koch had three hits and was a homerun away from also hitting the cycle.  Jason Lesser gets the loss for Rockford.  Loretto improves their record to 14-4, 12-2.

Loretto hosts Delano Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
