Larks Drop back to back games to finish up the regular season

Saturday night the Larks squared off against Hutchinson which was a make up game from a rainout earlier this season. The Larks could not overcome back to back four run innings by the Huskies in the 4th and 5th to lose the game 10-1. Hutch starter Jim Rogers was able to keep the Larks off balance and scattered seven hits through 8 innings. Loretto starter Troy Beckman took the loss giving up 8 runs on 14 hits in 4 2/3 innings of work. Tyler Maher was the only Lark with a multi-hit game with a single and double.

Loretto dropped the season finale to rival Maple Plain 4-2. Ryan Tapani suffered the loss giving up 3 runs in four innings of work. Eric Schutte and Ryan Schaust were the only Larks with multi-hit games, 2 and 3 respectively.

The Larks will face off against Maple Plain again first round of the regional tournament in Dassel-Cokato on July 28th at 4pm.

Congrats to the Larks on winning the East division for the third consecutive year with an overall league record of 43-10 and good luck in the regional!
