January 3,  2014 vs. L-M

After a  couple weeks off from conference play, Lone Tree returned from break to host  Louisa-Muscatine. Blocking out/rebounding, shooting and ball control were  emphasis at practices over the holiday break.   L-M was kept off the board most of the first quarter, scoring their  first points with under 2 minutes left in the quarter; keeping them for second  and third opportunities was key in this effort.   The Lady Lions struggled at the free throw line, making 2 for 12.  Fortunately, our defense was strong and the  half ended with us leading 23 - 10.  The  second half found us shooting better, making 6 for 11 free throws and making  40% of our field goals.  Work is still  needed on ball control and not throwing it away so much; but, the Lady Lions  bring home their second conference win by defeating L-M 58-36.
