Tuesday the Lions traveled to Highland to play the rival Huskies.  Lone Tree held just a 3 point lead at the end of the first quarter at 19-16.  Lone Tree opened it up in the second as they took a 43-30 lead at the half.  The Lion offense kept on clicking as they roll 83-54.

We struggled defensively late in the first and early into the second, our pressure defense got them to a pace they were not able to sustain and they turned the ball over a few times and we were able to capatilize on some transition baskets.

Scoring for the Lions-Gabe Lorack 18, Bryan Forbes 16, Logan Forbes 14, Andy Dodson 10, Lucas Sieverding 9, Jordan Quigley 4, Shay Hudachek, Riley Stumpf and Matt Wieland with 2 each. Rebounding-Logan 12, Gabe 10, Bryan 10, Assists-Bryan 7and Gabe 4.  Logan had 6 steals.

The Lion JV team lost their first game of the season against Highland 36-48.  The loss dropped the Lions to 18-1 on the year.  The JV struggled scoring all evening from the field and from the free throw line.  The Lions trailed by 8 at half and managed to cut the lead to 4 in the second half but were never able to take the lead.  Scoring for the Lions: Drew Sides 1, Jared Hudson 3, Ty Schillerstrom 8, Thomas Viner 9, Nick Viner 9, Travis Gillham 4, Matt Wieland 2.
