November 30, 2012 - vs IMS

Friday the Lions hosted rival IMS in another SEISC game.  Lone Tree started out slow falling behind by 5 early, the Lions stepped it up on defense and took an 8 point lead into the half leading 36-28.  The third quarter the lions depth and pressure defense took its toll on IMS as the outscored them 24-13.  This put the Lions up by 19 going into the 4th and Lone Tree wins its second conference game 72-54.

This game was a tale of our bench, I was really proud of the way our bench players stepped up, especially on the defensive end.  Our transition game was very good as well as we hardly ran any offensive sets the entire game.  This was a team effort and an important conference win.  We really need to stay focused as we are now on the road for a week.

Scoring for the Lions:  Lucas Sieverding 22, Bryan Forbes 21, Jordan Quigley 8, Gabe Lorack 7, Logan Forbes 6, Andy Dodson 5, and Trenton Gosnell with 3.

The Lion JV squad picked up win number two of the young season defeating IMS 46-24.  The Lions held IMS scoreless in the first quarter and were leading 10-0 at the end of the quarter.  The lead grew to as large as 22 in the second half.  Scoring for the Lions: Drew Sides 4, Jared Hudson 2, Ty Schillerstrom 2, Thomas Viner 10, Nick Viner 5, Travis Gillham 13, Caleb Christian 3, Jacob Quigley 2, Greg Feldman 4, Matt Wieland 1.
