Lady Lions @ IMS - May 22, 2012

On Tuesday, the Lady Lion softball team suffered a heartbreaker to IMS in a pitcher's dual between Lone Tree's Maggie Schmidt and IMS' Laura Hochstetler.  The Lady Lions only managed three hits off of Hochstetler.  While Schmidt struck out 7 with no walks and gave up 3 hits.  The Lady Lions had chances in both the 6th and 7th innings to go ahead, but were unable to get the timely hit or bunt needed.  "I thought our defensive effort was outstanding to go along with Maggie's great night on the mound."  The Lady Lions open their home season versus Highland on Thursday with the JV starting at 5:30.
