February 21, 2012 - vs Cedar Valley Christian - Districts Semi-Finals

Tuesday in a District Semi-Final the Lions hosted Cedar Valley Christian School.  CVC was a much improved team from the first time that the Lions had played them back in November. The Lions opened up the quarter with an 18-8 lead and held CVC to just 7 second quarter points as they held a 29-15 half time lead.  Lone Tree opened up the third on a 4-0 run to go up by 18 but the Huskies came roaring back on and 11-0 run to cut the lead to 6.  The Lions regrouped in the 4th and took control of the game as they advanced to the District Finals 76-63.  Defensively we really lost some intensity and they got hot from 3, I thought we did a good job of keeping our heads and not go into panic mode when they  made their run.  We did an excellent job of making free-throws down the stretch.
