The JV team got the evening rolling with a resounding win, their first of the season. The promise shown in earlier games was again evident as the Panthers moved the ball well throughout the game and played exceptional defense. The team capitalized on their opportunities and took a 6-2 lead into the half. They kept up the offensive pressure throughout the second half and finished with an 11-6 victory.
The Varsity overpowered the visiting Eagles in the nightcap, as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead that they never relinquished. Eight different Panthers scored this evening in an all around team effort. Key to the Panther victory was the draw control play of Hannah Koloski, who controlled over 80% of .the draws taken, constantly putting pressure on the Eagles’ defense. The Eagles were unable to mount much of a counter attack, as the Panthers won with a final score of 20-7.
Next up for the PANTHERS, Apple Valley next Tuesday at home. Make plans to come out and support LNHS Girl’s lacrosse.
